Newly-Ordained Augustinian Friar

The process to become an Augustinian Friar requires a total commitment of at least six to seven years. During this time, we are asked to devote ourselves completely to prayer, our Augustinian community life, our studies, and ministry as we learn how to live the Augustinian way of life and prepare to serve the people of God in various ministerial roles. Your support over these past six years paid for my education, health insurance, lodging, transportation, clothing, food, and other essential needs. Without this support, I would never have been able to make such a big commitment or devote myself so completely to these learning experiences.

One of the most valuable aspects of our formation process is the opportunity to gain ministerial experience as we simultaneously complete our studies. We are given opportunities to take what we are learning in the classroom and in the communities in which we live and put them into practice through various ministries. With your support I was able to serve in two parishes, a jail, and a prison which enabled me to serve a wide variety of people across numerous life circumstances. This has prepared me well for my ministry as an Augustinian priest and my first assignment as Director of Evangelization and Discipleship at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia in Philadelphia.

Thank you for your generous support. I will forever be grateful.
